Manchester Central is committed to carbon reduction across all areas of activity and will commit to eliminating and/or reducing emissions across all three scopes.
We will continue to:
Maintain a robust waste management system minimising our waste and diverting from landfill.
Replaced single-use plastics with alternatives.
Incentivise the use of our electric vehicle charging points, cycle to work scheme and use of the Bee Network transport links.
Monitor, record and reduce utility consumption to reduce our environmental impact.
Collaborate with event organisers, contractors, and suppliers to collectively reduce the industry's environmental impact.
Committed to supporting the local economy and reducing food miles, by sustainably sourcing our ingredients. Our menus are inspired by North West produce.
Manchester Central hosts the Manchester Energy Network, which aims to deliver carbon heat and power.
