Our (not so secret anymore) 'Manchester Central Brownies' always go down a treat with clients and visitors alike, so we asked our Executive Chef, Matt Hagan, to show you how to make them for yourself.

Recipe
Makes 16 portions
Ingredients
5 large eggs
420g soft dark brown sugar
570g dark chocolate chips
300g salted butter block
120g plain flour
9g baking powder
6ml vanilla flavouring
150g hazelnuts
Method
Melt chocolate chips and butter together in
a pan
Whisk egg and sugar together then slowly
add the melted chocolate and butter
Add flour, baking powder and hazelnuts
and whisk well
Pour mixture into a baking tray and
spread evenly, then cook in the oven at
170 degrees for 30minutes
